Not only did I get to spend time with this work but also working with the local kids and one adult to improve their lives and hopefully this will also leave a lasting impact.

The time spent working with the children will never be forgotten. My favorite part was watching the kids warm up to me, and spend time learning. They were not just working and learning because they had to but because they truly wanted to. Watching them try to be the best they can, even given the circumstances they have, is the most rewarding thing I could ever experience. Seeing their smiles when they read the word correctly and write the letter the right way in an image I will never forget.

My experience here in Costa Rica with uVolunteer has meant the world to me. It was everything I expected and even some I didn’t. I am very happy with my experience and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

At the end of my program, I left this report for uVolunteer. I hope it helps future volunteers have a good understanding of the uVolunteer program. I've also allowed uVolunteer to give out my email address to those interested in asking me questions about my trip and the uVolunteer program.
