I’ve had a great experience in Costa Rica. The weekend trips were amazing. I was able to meet new people and get close to them. I definitely had a great experience that I won’t forget. Unfortunately, it felt more like a vacation then a volunteer trip. The school was not prepared and did not have a schedule in place for us.

Regardless I still enjoyed my time and loved the kids. They were awesome. My experience with the house was good. It had everything I needed

The 5th and 6th graders do not have physical education. Most days I was just aiding the gym teacher. There were only 3 days where I felt like there was a need and was able to conduct classes for the 5th and 6th graders. I felt like they did not utilize us well. I know that is not uVolunteer’s fault but that was my experience.

My only complaint with the house was that the amount of protein was no where near sufficient for the amount of money we have paid. Ronald, Gaby, and Virginia are phenomenal.

At the end of my program, I left this report for uVolunteer. I hope it helps future volunteers have a good understanding of the uVolunteer program. I've also allowed uVolunteer to give out my email address to those interested in asking me questions about my trip and the uVolunteer program.
